Collection "Great Italian Violinmaking" inside San Vidal Church
From “La grande Liuteria Italiana” di Artemio Versari
Vincenzo Postiglione, born in Naples in 1835, was one of the great Neapolitan makers of the second half of the 1800s. A student of his father, he generated a fair output and used classical Neapolitan and Cremonese models for his finely crafted instruments, which are higly sought out today. He trained a large number of the students who form the nucleus of the 20th century Neapolitan school.
