Professionaly a cooper, Giuseppe Vignali started to be interested in the liuteria at 17 years old and at 23 he was already easily compared to the success of the most famous authors of his epoch. Furthermore he realised a varnish of a particular quality that was even worth of an award from the Accademy of Physics and Chimics of Palermo. His death, taken place at only thirty years old, didn't occur during the First World War as commonly believed, yet it was provoked by the plague of the Spanish Fever in 1918. The instrument presented here is finely constructed and is coated with a varnish of excellent quality.
